Fahteema Parrish is the President and Founder of Parrish & Sons Construction LLC, a 100% minority woman-owned construction company in Kansas City, Missouri.
Born and raised in Kansas City, Fahteema obtained an up-close and personal view of what hard work really looked like. Her mother and father were entrepreneurs, they owned their own HVAC business.
Before founding Parrish & Sons Construction, Fahteema worked in the Information Technology Industry for 20 years where she gained experience in Process Innovation, applications development/computer programming, systems analysis and design.
As she ventured into the Construction industry she earned her OSHA 30, Class A CDL and completed the accelerated Construction Management Programs which included Turner School of Construction Management, JEDunn Minority Development Program, UMKC Growth Elevation Lab, Next Stage KC & Kansas City Strategic Partnership Program with CWC & Edgemoor. Thus, diverse skillset solidified the foundation for Parrish & Sons Construction on January 28, 2015.

FP: Yes, I am married with 4 children. I operate every piece of equipment I own.

FP: One year in May 2021

FP: Jan 28, 2015 Since I Founded my Company and remain President 100% owner.
What are some challenges that you have faced?
FP: Start up capital that resulted in me bootstrapping my business.
What advice would you give to ladies to get them interested in the trades.
FP: Strive to not just be the best but be Phenomenal as anything can be accomplished with hard work and dedication.
